"I am so grateful to Alexis for stepping up for Alvernia and the Women's Bowling Team," said Stiles. "As a proud alum, Alexis is aware of the value of a positive student-athlete experience as part of a holistic education. She has dedicated most of her professional career to the bowling industry, and we are delighted to have her lead our program."

"I am eager to share my knowledge of the sport with these young ladies and be a part of shaping who they become through the sport and their education," said Schwenk. "I would like to thank Bill Stiles and Alvernia University for giving me an opportunity to grow the program and to return to coach at my alma mater."

Schwenk begins immediately, and will coach her first match this weekend when Alvernia heads to the two-day Chestnut Hill Griffin Baker Classic.
