Golden Wolves and Lions Draw, 1-1

Reading, Pa. (November 1, 2025) - Albright College (5-8-5, 0-5-2) netted a late equalizer as Alvernia University (3-9-7, 1-3-3) and Albright played to a 1-1 draw Saturday night in a MAC Commonwealth matchup at Albright. 

The Golden Wolves held a 1-0 lead until the 89th minute when the Lions netted a late leveler to secure the 1-1 draw. 

How it Happened 
  • The Golden Wolves fired six shots at the Albright goal in the first 32 minutes of the game but only put one shot on target that was saved by the Lions goalie Mike Lawry. 
  • Alvernia grabbed the lead in the 38th minute after Chase Malone found the back of the net to give the Golden Wolves a one goal lead heading into the halftime break. 
  • Alvernia tallied six shots in the first 20 minutes of the second half with three shots going on target and two shots hitting the woodwork, the Golden Wolves held a one goal lead heading into the back half of the second half. 
  • The Lions then found the late leveler in the final two minutes of the game Martin Ramsey assisted Daniel Lowman to secure the last minute 1-1 draw for the Lions. 

Inside the Box Score 
  • Chase Malone netted the lone goal for the Golden Wolves and finished with three total shots and two shots on goal. 
  • Josh Ertel recorded two shots with one on goal, Chase Bartman and Axel Solano also tallied shots on goal for Alvernia. 
  • Zander Templeton tallied two shots and Austin Chambers, Quinn Rabush and Jordan Bosco all tallied one shot apiece. 
  • Evan Solley recorded seven saves in net for the Golden Wolves and ended his career as the Alvernia career saves leader with 412 career saves. Solley also ended his career as the active saves leader across all NCAA divisions with his 412 saves and his 37 career wins also is an Alvernia career record. 

The draw marks the end of the 2025 campaign for the Golden Wolves and they finished with a 3-9-7 overall record and a 1-3-3 record in the MAC Commonwealth.
