Reading, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2025) - Alvernia Women's Soccer (4-8-6, 0-4-3) closed out its 2025 season with a 0-0 draw against Albright College (2-14-3, 1-5-1) on Saturday evening in MAC Commonwealth women's soccer action at Albright.

How it Happened

• Alvernia came out firing as Abby Stair sent a shot on net in the first 34 seconds of the contest. But, the attempt was stopped for the early save.
• The Golden Wolves and Lions traded off target attempts before Stair sent her second attempt at goal of the evening in the 21st minute. That attempt was saved as well to keep the game at 0-0.
• Both Tayler Flaherty and Olivia Swartz sent attempts at goal in the 32nd and 33rd minute, respectively. But, both attempts were saved.
• The Lions had their first and only look at goal in the 38th minute, but Abby Rowley made the stop for the Golden Wolves as the game moved into the half tied at 0-0. 
• Alvernia kept firing in the second half, starting with a shot by Devon Bell in the 47th minute that was saved. Bell then fired one off the crossbar in the 57th minute as the game remained tied at 0-0.
• While Alvernia peppered shots throughout the remaining 33 minutes - including one more on goal by Camille Quirin-Morris - the Golden Wolves could not convert as the game ended in a 0-0 tie.

Inside the Box Score

• Abby Rowley finished with one save to secure her fourth shutout of the year. 
• Abby Stair led Alvernia with two shots on goal.

Alvernia concludes its 2025 season with a 4-8-6 record overall and 0-4-3 record in MAC Commonwealth play.
