Hart, Oliveira Lead Golden Wolves Past Monarchs, 7-0

Reading, Pa. (November 15, 2025) - Alvernia University (5-1-0, 4-0-0) recorded a 7-0 shutout victory over King's College (0-6-0, 0-4-0) Saturday afternoon in a MAC women's ice hockey matchup at Body Zone.

The Golden Wolves recorded a second straight shutout over the Monarchs with the 7-0 victory and Alexis Oliveira and Emma Hart both netted hat tricks to power the Golden Wolves to the seven goal victory.

The hat tricks for Hart and Oliveira come as the ninth and tenth hat tricks in program history and are the first hat tricks since Khenzie Connick netted three in an 8-1 win over Stevenson in 2024.

How it Happened
  • The Golden Wolves got things going immediately after Khenzie Connick and Laila Tosi assisted Alexis Oliveira just 35 seconds into the game to put the Golden Wolves up 1-0 early.
  • Alvernia tacked on one more goal in the final two minutes of the first period when Emma Hart notched her first goal of the game thanks to a Kathryn Palmer assist to give the Golden Wolves a two goal lead heading into the room.
  • The Golden Wolves tacked it on in the second period and netted three goals to extend the lead to 5-0. Oliveira kicked things off with a power play goal in the 12th minute of the second period thanks to assists from Maddie Morris and Gillian Evans to make it 3-0 Alvernia.
  • Hart then netted her second goal of the game two minutes later after she connected with Palmer to push the lead to four.
  • Hart then tallied her hat trick on a short handed opportunity in the final four minutes of the period after taking the puck coast to coast and ripping a shot into the roof of the net to send the Golden Wolves to the final intermission with a 5-0 lead.
  • Alvernia then tacked on two more goals in the final four minutes of the contest when Morris found the back of the net and then Oliveira tallied an unassisted goal to cap off the seven goal victory and net her first career hat trick.
