Robert Cottrell were named Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of November 10 - November 16, 2025.
Emma Hart finished a 2-0 weekend for the Golden Wolves with five points off of four goals and an assist as Alvernia swept the weekend series against King's. She also went 18-for-21 to lead Alvernia's faceoff efforts against the Monarchs. In a 6-0 win over King's on Friday, Hart assisted on Alvernia's opening goal of the game before scoring Alvernia's sixth and final goal of the night. She also went 12-for-13 on the faceoff. In a 7-0 win over King's on Saturday, Hart picked up her second career hat-trick, scoring three goals through the first 36 minutes of the game. Her third goal to secure the hat-trick came shorthanded for Alvernia. She also went 6-for-8 on the faceoff on Saturday.
Robert Cottrell finished a 2-1 week for Alvernia with 77 points, averaging 25.7 points per game. He also had nine steals and 17 assists on the week with just three total personal fouls. He shot 19-for-35 from the floor on the week, and went 31-for-32 from the free throw line. In a 93-91 setback to #23 Montclair State on Saturday, Cottrell scored a team-high 40 points, marking the most points scored by an Alvernia player in over two years. He finished the evening going 10-for-15 from the floor, 4-for-8 from 3-point range, and 16-for-17 from the free throw line. He also had five assists and five steals. In a 92-80 win over PSU Abington on Monday, Cottrell went 6-for-11 from the floor and 9-for-9 from the line for 23 points. He also added five assists and three steals. In a 114–73 win over PSU Berks on Wednesday, Cottrell scored 14 points in just 20 minutes of action, and was once again perfect from the free throw line (6-for-6). He also added seven assists and a steal as Alvernia came up just two points short of a 30-year old program record for points scored in a game.
Women's Ice Hockey is back home this weekend against Lebanon Valley. Men's Basketball is back in action on Wednesday at Kean.
