Robert Cottrell and Women's Equestrian first-year
Isabella Jermyn were named Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of November 17 - November 23, 2025. This week's Alvernia Athletes of the Week are presented by Visions Federal Credit Union.
Robert Cottrell finished a 1-1 week for Alvernia averaging 17 points, four assists, two steals, and 2.5 rebounds. He finished the week shooting 11-for-19 from the floor and a perfect 10-for-10 from the line. In a 76-66 win over Kean on Wednesday, Cottrell played 38 minutes and finished with 17 points and went 7-for-9 with four assists, two rebounds, and two steals. He then played all 40 minutes in an 80-76 loss to Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday. He again finished with 17 points and went 8-for-8 from the line. He also had four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
Isabella Jermyn took first place in both the Limit Fence and Limit Flat in a continuation of the University of Scranton show that concluded on Sunday morning. Jermyn earned a team total of 14 points out of possible points, leading Alvernia to a third place finish overall. Her performance also landed her in a three-way tie for overall high-point rider. She then kept it going later on Sunday at the Kutztown Show, taking another first place finish in Limit Fences. She also picked up another point with a sixth place finish in Limit Flat.Â
Men's Basketball is off until Wednesday, December 3rd. Women's Equestrian concluded their fall season this past weekend.Â
