Golden Wolves Draw With Chargers, 0-0

Lancaster, Pa (September 3, 2025) - Alvernia University (0-1-2) recorded a second 0-0 of the season after drawing with Lancaster Bible College (1-1-1) Wednesday night in a non-conference men's soccer matchup at Lancaster Bible's Donald H. Funk Field.

The Golden Wolves and the Chargers recorded 19 shots in the first half with the Golden Wolves leading with ten and the Chargers recorded nine but both teams only put two shots a piece on target. Lancaster Bible tallied six shots in the second half but only one on goal, which Alvernia keeper Evan Solley saved to preserve the 0-0 shutout.

How it Happened
  • The Golden Wolves ripped ten shots at the net in the first half and Eli Klinger and Connor Kraycik were the only two to record shots on goal for the Golden Wolves.
  • Lancaster Bible also recorded just two shots on goal in the first 45 minutes but Alvernia's Solley saved both to keep the Chargers out of the goal.
  • The Chargers did have a chance in the final three minutes of the half when Stephen Christner tallied a shot that rattled off the top woodwork and out as the game headed to the half tied at zero.
  • The second half was less offensive than the first with the Chargers leading the way with six shots but only were able to put one on frame.
  • Alvernia's only shot on goal in the second half came in the final 20 seconds of the game after Nathan Mekonnen ripped a shot at the Lancaster Bible keeper but it was corralled as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
