Reading, Pa. (October 10, 2026) -  Alvernia men's soccer (4-5-3, 0-1-2 MAC) fell to Stevenson (7-3-2, 1-1 MAC) on Saturday evening in the second game of a homecoming triple-header for Homecoming and Family Weekend.

How It Happened:

• Early in the game, both teams exchanged runs, but never truly posed a threat. A stalemate that took precedent in the midfield kept the game knotted at 0-0 half way through the opening stanza.
• The Mustangs broke the ice in the 23rd minute with a flick play that resulted in a goal from Levi Tanguay.
• Just 10 minutes later, the Mustangs struck again to extend their lead to 2-0. The Golden Wolves quickly attempted to counter the strong Mustangs offense with Graeson Reese, who had the best attempt of the first half that was turned away by the Stevenson goalkeeper.
• Inside the 59th minute, Joseph Washington drew a penalty on an offensive spurt to set up Brendan Corpus for a penalty shot. Corpus, with the ability to split the deficit in half, executed and put the Golden Wolves within striking distance of the Mustangs.
• The Mustangs struck twice within four minutes, 66th and 70th, to jump to a three goal lead at 4-1. In the 88th minute, Aidan Courtney delivered a massive strike past the Stevenson goalkeeper to cut the lead to two.
