Reading, Pa. (April 8, 2026) - Alvernia University (2-5, 0-2) dropped a MAC Commonwealth women's tennis matchup against Albright College (9-3, 2-0), 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon in conference tennis action in Angelica Park.

The Lions took the available doubles point with wins a No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, and a forfeit win at No. 3 doubles. The Lions took No. 1 doubles over the Alvernia duo of Jillian Laughman and Jamielyn Kelly, 6-3. Jennah DeGout and Grace Dobrzynski fell at No. 2 doubles, 6-0.

Albright then took each available singles match in straight sets. Laughman took games in No. 1 singles, but dropped her match, 6-2, 6-1. Dobrzynski also grabbed a game at No. 4 singles, but dropped her match, 6-0, 6-1.

Alvernia is back in action on Tuesday at Eastern.
