NORTHAMPTON, Pa. (September 1, 2026) – The Alvernia University women's golf team concluded the Northampton Cup to open the 2026 season. The Golden Wolves finished third overall against the field. Senior Cassidy Miksich highlighted the tournament with a top-5 finish and Ayvah Rossi finished in the top 10.
Cassidy Miksich stepped to the tee first on hole 10 for Alvernia. Miksich began her day one over par through the first four holes. Despite making par on hole 17, four bogeys to finish the first nine holes put her at five over par. Miksich was strong through the final nine holes, recording five pars and one birdie. Three bogeys on holes five, eight, and nine put her at a final score of eight over par.
Ayvah Rossi started on the back nine, Rossi finished 12 over par through her first nine holes. Despite a couple of early bogeys, she recorded pars on holes 13 and 15, along with a birdie on the par-three 16th hole. Rossi finished strong on the day, picking up five pars on the front nine. Four bogeys brought her final score to 17 over par.
Madison Potter along with the rest of her teammates, teed off on hole 10. Through nine holes, Potter was 18 over par, recording back-to-back pars on holes 16 and 17. To wrap up the day, Potter finished 35 over par, securing one par on hole four.
Gia Rainey had the latest start of the team, also beginning on the back nine. After her first nine holes of play, Rainey was 20 over par. To conclude the Northampton Cup, Rainey finished 37 over par.
