Glenside, Pa. (September 1, 2026) - Alvernia University (0-1) fell to Arcadia University (1-0), 7-0, in a non-conference women's soccer matchup Tuesday night at Arcadia. 

Arcadia grabbed the early lead in the first half with three goals in the first 28 minutes of action and took the three goal lead into the half. The game was then delayed due to weather just after the start of the second half. After roughly a two hour delay in the game, the Knights tallied four second half goals en route to the victory. 

How it Happened

• The Knights got on the board in the first ten minutes of the game when Mia Casey found the back of the net thanks to an assist from Sadie Nugent put the Knights up 1-0. 
• Arcadia doubled its lead seven minutes later when Casey and Nugent connected again and Casey tallied her second goal of the game to push the Knights lead to 2-0. 
• The Knights then took a three goal lead into the half when Nugent found the back of the net to make it a 3-0 Arcadia lead heading into the halftime break. 
• The contest was then delayed due to weather just two minutes after the start of the second half. 
• After the delay, the Knights recorded four goals in the second half en route to the 7-0 victory.

• Abbey Rowley recorded six saves in net for the Golden Wolves and Ava Schmidt recorded one save in goal.
