Intramural Sports
Alvernia University offers intramural sports to all students. Alvernia's intramural sports are designed to give all students the opportunity to be involved in a variety of sports in a friendly environment. Five sports are offered throughout the academic year
including Flag Football, Volleyball, 3 v 3 Basketball, Wiffleball, and Soccer/Team Hand Ball.
Each sport occurs at a different time throughout each semester making it possible to participate in every sport.
Flag Football: Beginning of September-Mid October
Volleyball: Mid October - Mid December
3 v 3 Basketball: Mid January- end of February
Wiffleball: Beginning of March - Mid April
Soccer or Team Hand Ball: Mid April - Mid May
All registration is done at www.imleagues.com/Alvernia
Designate a team Captain
Team captain should log on to imleagues and create their profile and create your team
All participants must create a profile at www.imleagues.com/alvernia in order to play
Once you have created your profile, click on the register/sign-up button for the available sport
Be sure to accept and electronically sign the Alvernia waiver as you go through the registration process
Be sure to register for the appropriate division and team
You can register as a Free Agent and we will place you on a team if you do not have one
Game schedules and standing will all be posted on imleagues once all teams are registered
All sports are co-ed, with flag football offering an additional male only league
Games will be played on Alvernia's turf field and in the Physical Education Center
Mission Statement
The Alvernia University Department of Intramural and Recreation Sports, as part of a university with roots in the Franciscan tradition, strives to contribute to the complete realization of the student as an intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual being. You don't have to be an athlete to play; these recreational activities are for everyone. Participants can choose to play at either the competitive or recreational level for the sports that are offered.
