Wood started in 11 games for the Golden Wolves during his first year and posted a team best 7-2 record. Wood posted a 3.12 ERA and allowed just 28 runs over 60.2 innings pitched. Wood recorded a team high 46 strikeouts, he walked only 17 batters and held opposing batters to just a .276 batting average. Wood tallied nine strikeouts in a win over Eastern and posted seven Ks, allowed only three hits and no runs over seven innings against York. Wood’s seven wins ranked him second in the MAC Commonwealth and his 3.12 ERA ranked fourth in the conference. Wood was also a member of a team that finished runner up in the MAC Commonwealth Championship and the ECAC Championship.
