2024 (Sophomore)

Fitzgerald appeared in ten games for Alvernia during his sophomore season and made three starts on the mound. Fitzgerald started for the Golden Wolves against Baldwin Wallace, Ramapo and New Jersey City. Fitzgerald tossed 21 innings, allowed 20 runs, issued just six walks and struck out 13 batters. Fitzgerald’s best outing of the season came in the form of a relief performance against Case Western Reserve in the NCAA Cleveland Regional where he came on and posted five innings, allowed just two runs, surrendered four hits and struck out three batters. In the field, Fitzgerald recorded six assists and one putout on eight chances. Fitzgerald was also a member of the team that won Alvernia’s fourth MAC Commonwealth title in 2024 and also helped make Alvernia’s 19th NCAA Regional appearance.

2023 (First Year) 

Fitzgerald played in 20 games for the Golden Wolves during the 2023 campaign and started in ten games. Fitzgerald batted .325 with 13 hits on 40 at bats, he recorded 12 RBIs, scored eight runs, worked seven walks and struck out just three times. Fitzgerald posted a .426 on base percentage and a .325 slugging percentage for a combined .751 on base plus slugging percentage. In the field, Fitzgerald recorded 73 putouts and three assists on 76 chances, for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Fitzgerald was a member of a team that finished runner up in the MAC Commonwealth Championship and the ECAC Championship.
