Biography

2024 (Sophomore) 

Mays appeared in 17 games for Alvernia on the mound and posted a 2-1 record. Mays recorded 19.2 innings pitched, allowed ten earned runs, issued five walks and struck out 21 batters. Mays recorded wins against Muskingum and Stevenson and tallied saves against Hiram and Hood. In the field, Mays recorded one putout and seven assists on eight chances, he did not commit an error and recorded one pickoff. Mays was also a member of a team that won the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Championship and made a NCAA Regional appearance.

Mays appeared in 19 games for the Golden Wolves during his first year and posted a 3-2 record on the mound. Mays posted a 2.95 ERA out of the bullpen for Alvernia, allowed only 28 hits, seven earned runs and fanned 20 batters in 22.1 innings of work. Mays only issued four walks, posted a 1.41 WHIP and posted four saves, which ranked second in the MAC Commonwealth. Mays converted all four chances he had in the field, posted four assists and was a member of a team that finished runner up in the MAC Commonwealth Championship and the ECAC Championship.
