Alvernia University Athletics

Matt Chiappelli joined the Alvernia Football Staff in the Summer of 2018 as the Quarterbacks Coach. Chiappelli now serves as the Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks coach.
 
Prior to Alvernia University, Chiappelli worked on the Moravian College coaching staff as the Wide Receiver’s Coach from 2016-2018.

Chiappelli is a 2016 graduate of Shippensburg University where he received a degree in Accounting. He was a member of the Shippensburg University Football Program and was a student assistant coach for three years. Chiappelli also played wide receiver for one season. He was a 2012-2013 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete. 

A native of Shippensburg, Pa., Chiappelli graduated from Shippensburg Area Senior High School in 2012.  During his tenure there he played football, basketball, and track at the varsity level. He was a 2012 Mid-Penn Conference Scholar-Athlete.
