Cercado played in 25 games for the Golden Wolves during his first year campaign and started in 11 of those 25 games. Cercado finished with 422 total minutes played, he scored 183 points, dished out 46 assists, recorded 16 steals, grabbed 40 rebounds and shot just over 40% from the floor. Cercado scored a season high 22 points in a game against Gwynedd Mercy in a 100-87 come from behind victory. Cercado went 7-16 from the field, 8-8 from the free throw line and also tallied a team high 8 rebounds, added 7 assists and did not turn the ball over once. Cercado’s first year performance earned him the MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year honor and he was also on the 2024 ECAC Championship runner-up team. Cercado’s Rookie of the Year selection marks the sixth straight season that Alvernia has either had a MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year, Player of the Year or Defensive Player of the Year.
