Joe Linderman joined the Alvernia coaching staff in 2012 after six season as a varsity boys basketball coach in Berks County at Central Catholic, Exeter, and Fleetwood.

Linderman was two-time All-Berks County during his career at Reading Central Catholic.  He played for two District III winners and was a member of the State Finalist team in 1996.  He was named Small School Player of the Year in 1996 by Pahoops.org alongside Kobe Bryant from Lower Merion High School.

Linderman continued his career at Drexel University where he played in 111 games and average 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds.  He was named Rookie of the Year in 1997 and was a three-time selection for the All-Conference Team.  He owns three of the top seven marks for shooting percentage in a season and is fourth in career scoring.
