Fellner played in 18 games for the Golden Wolves during his first year and finished with a 8-9-1 overall record. Fellner recorded wins against Neumann, two against Nazareth, Wilkes, Chatham, King’s, Lebanon Valley and Manhattanville. Fellner finished with 582 saves in his first year campaign which ranked him second in the MAC and his .924 save percentage also ranked second best in the conference. Fellner allowed 48 goals and averaged 2.68 goals per game, which also was the second best in the MAC conference. Fellner recorded 30 saves in 12 of the 18 games he played in and recorded a season high 46 saves in the UCHC semifinal against Utica. Fellner recorded 40 or more saves on three other occasions with 47 against Nazareth, 40 against Utica in the regular season and 43 in the UCHC quarterfinal victory over Manhattanville. Fellner became the first Alvernia goaltender to receive All-Conference honors and currently holds the single season saves record in the short history of the program. Fellner was also a member of the team that recorded the first playoff win in program history with a 6-1 victory over Manhattanville in the UCHC Playoffs.
