Gudnason played in 17 games for the Golden Wolves during the 2022-2023 campaign and was a member of the inaugural NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey team at Alvernia. Gudnason recorded two assists, tallying one in a 4-2 victory over Rivier and the second came in Alvernia’s next game in a 4-2 win over Neumann. Gudnason fired 15 shots on goal and recorded 54 faceoff wins, which ranked sixth on Alvernia and his .470 faceoff percentage was the fourth highest on the team (minimum of 100 faceoff attempts)
