Joe Ricci has been a part of Alvernia University’s coaching staff since the 2014 season. Ricci has spent the past 18 years as a high school coach and club trainer at Exeter H.S., Daniel Boone High School, Amity AC, and Rage SC. Ricci took on the Daniel Boone High School boys program in 2002 turning the Blazer Boys program into one of the top programs in the county and regular district playoff participant.
In 2012, Ricci helped build the NAL champion, Philadelphia Fury. He was the recruiter, head coach, and trainer of the Fury, which served as the reserve squad for the NPSL AC Crusaders. Ricci was an assistant coach for the 2012 NPSL Eastern Conference all-star game in Jersey City, NJ. He has been working with college players during the past four summers in various capacities and has been active in developing and identifying high school talent to play soccer at the NCAA level in Divisions I, II and III.
Ricci holds USSF and NSCAA coaching certifications. He grew up playing soccer in Central and North New Jersey. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science with an emphasis in mathematics from West Chester University and a Masters in Organizational Leadership from Alvernia University. Ricci owned and operated a software consulting company for twenty years and is currently the Director of Enterprise Information Systems at Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc.
