Biography
2022-2023 (Junior)
Indoor:
Schemerhorn competed in four competitions for Alvernia during the 2022-2023 indoor season and posted a career best time in the 3,000m at the Alvernia Winter Invite with a time of 9:27.91. Schemerhorn competed in the 5,000m and the 4x800m at the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and posted a time of 16:13.63 in the 5,000m and helped the Alvernia 4x800m team record a 8:53.35 time at the championships.
Outdoor:
Schermerhorn competed in seven meets for the Golden Wolves during the 2023 outdoor season and tallied four career bests throughout the season. Schermerhorn posted a 33:37.51 time in the 10,000m at the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which was a career best and he also competed in the 5,000m at the championships. Schermerhorn posted his career best time in the 5,000m at the Widener Final Qualifier with a time of 15:42.63 and tallied two career bests at the Jim Taylor Invite with a 2:09.03, 800m time and a 4:21.02, 1,500m time.
2021-2022 (Sophomore)
Indoor:
Schermerhorn participated in four competitions during his sophomore indoor season and competed in the 3,000m, 5,000m and was a member of the distance medley relay team for Alvernia. Schermerhorn posted his best 3,000m time at the Alvernia Winter Invite with a time of 9:39.83 and recorded his best 5,000m time of the season at the Susquehanna Invite with a time of 16:33.88. Schermerhorn also was a member of the DMR team at the MAC Indoor Championships and helped the team post a 11:03.49 time at the championships.
Outdoor:
Schermerhorn competed in five meets for the Golden Wolves during the 2022 outdoor season and competed in the 800m, 1,500m, 5,000m and the 10,000m. Schermerhorn posted his best 5,000m time of the season at the Widener Invitational with a time of 15:59.51 and recorded his best 10,000m time at the Jim Taylor Invitational with a time of 35:29.80. Schermerhorn recorded his only 800m and 1,500m times of the season at the York Twilight and posted times of 2:09.08 and 4:28.99 respectively.
