Indoor:

Wendel competed in five competitions during the 2022-2023 indoor season and posted a career best in the mile at the Susquehanna Tune-Up with a time of 4:52.99. Wendel competed in the 800m and posted his best time of the season at the MAC Indoor Championships with a time of 2:02.91 and also helped the distance medley relay team break the school record at the MAC Championships with a time of 10:46.44.

Wendel participated in nine competitions for the Golden Wolves during the 2023 outdoor season and recorded three career bests during the season in the 800m, the 1,500m and the 5,000m. Wendel posted his career best 800m time at the Widener Invite with a time of 1:56.48 and with that 800m time, Wendel set the Alvernia school record in the 800m. Wendel recorded his best 1,500m time at the Paul Kaiser Classic with a 4:12.01 time and he also posted a 16:49.92 time in the 5,000m at the York Twilight. Wendel competed in the 800m, the 4x400m and the 4x800m at the MAC Outdoor Championships and was a member of the Alvernia 4x800m team that broke the school record with a time of 7:58.28.
