Katie DeJulio was hired as the head softball coach in January 2014. She takes over the Alvernia University program after three seasons as the head coach at Wilson High School where she compiled a 41-19 record and led the Bulldogs to their first Berks County Championship in 2013.
She was selected as the Lancaster / Lebanon Carpenter Cup Coach in 2012 and was named the 2012 Berks County Coach of the Year.
DeJulio was a 4-year starter at Lebanon Valley College. She is fifth all-time in games played at LVC with 137. In her junior year (2008) DeJulio and the Dutchmen won the first conference championship in team history. That season she was named First Team All-Commonwealth, Second Team All-ECAC South, and NFCA Third Team All-Region.
She was an NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete from 2007-2009 and a three-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with certification in Special Education, and is finishing up a Masters in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University.
