Biography
2022-2023 (Junior)
Indoor:
Sternberg competed at eight meets for the Golden Wolves during the 2022-2023 indoor season and competed in the 200m, 400m, 800m, 60m hurdles and the 4x400m relay. Sternberg competed at the MAC Indoor Track and Field Championships where she competed in the 60m hurdles and recorded a 9.94 time. Sternberg posted her career best time in the 60m hurdles at the Susquehanna Tune-Up when she posted a 9.85 time. Sternberg posted her season best 200m time at the Utica Blue and Orange Invite with a 30.23 time, recorded her best 400m time of the season at the Frank Colden Invitational with a 1:06.93 time and her best 800m time came at the Fastrack Season Opener with a time of 2:49.39.
Outdoor:
Sternberg participated at eight outdoor meets during the season for Alvernia and competed at the MAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 100m and 400m hurdles. At the Championships, Sternberg posted a 100m hurdles time of 16.86 and a 400m hurdles time of 1:11.41. Sternberg posted her career best time in the 100m hurdles at the Widener Final Qualifier when she recorded a 16.79 time. Sternberg also competed in the 200m during the outdoor season and tallied her best time of the season at the Widener Invite with a 29.36 time.
2021-2022 (Sophomore)
Indoor:
Sternberg competed at eight meets during the indoor season for Alvernia and competed in the 200m, 400m, 60m hurdles and was a member of the 4x400m relay team. Sternberg posted her career best time in the 400m at the Susquehanna Tune-Up with a 1:04.90 time. Sternberg competed at the MAC Indoor Championships and competed in the 400m, 60m hurdles and the 4x400m. At the Championships, Sternberg recorded a 1:06.74 time in the 400m, a 10.33 time in the 60m hurdles and helped the 4x400m team post a 4:20.36 time. Sternberg recorded her best 60m hurdles time of the season at the Bucknell Bison Open with a 10.42 time.
Outdoor:
Sternberg participated in eight meets during the 2022 outdoor season and competed at the MAC Outdoor Championships in the 400m hurdles and posted a time of 1:12.84. Sternberg competed in the 200m, 400m and the 400m hurdles during the outdoor season and posted her career best time in the 200m at the York Twilight Meet with a 29.01 time. Sternberg also competed in the 400m hurdles at the York Twilight and posted a third place finish and a time of 1:11.48.
2021 (First-Year)
Appeared in eight meets for the Golden Wolves in 2021… recorded three second-place finishes throughout the season in the 400-meter hurdles… secured a seventh-place finish in the 400-meter with a time of 1:06.80 at the King’s College Monarch Invitational (March 20)… finished in sixth place with a time of 1:09.90 in the 400-meter hurdles at the 2021 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (May 6).
