Kelly Nicodemus was named the Women's Volleyball head coach prior to the 2015 season, following a year as the assistant coach in the 2014 season. In Kelly’s first full season as head coach, Alvernia improved its overall record to 12-19, with a MAC Commonwealth record of 3-5. The Golden Wolves have strengthened their play schedule to encourage the highest level of competition. This past year, the Women’s Volleyball team competed in the MAC Commonwealth playoffs for the first time since Alvernia joined the MAC in 2008. The Golden Wolves beat fourth seeded Messiah to earn their first MAC Commonwealth Conference win. They ended the season with an appearance in the ECAC tournament, and graduated an All-American outside hitter in Kristen Sipling.

In the off-season, Nicodemus has coached for J-Stroke and ECP Volleyball Clubs. She finished her seventh year coaching club volleyball with top ranking teams at the open level. She has coached ages thirteen to seventeen and for the past three years, her teams have finished ranked in the top five in the region. Next spring season, she will continue to coach national travel teams for East Coast Power. She has also been an instructor at the Holy Name/Berks Catholic High School girls summer camp for eight years.

Kelly played volleyball for Albright College as a defensive specialist/libero. At Albright, she started all four years and still holds the record for most digs in a match. She graduated summa cum laude from Albright College and finished her graduate studies at West Chester University in English Literature.
