Weikel competed at three competitions for the Golden Wolves during her first year and wrestled in eight matches. Weikel posted a 12-2 victory over Yazmin Martinez of Cedar Crest at the East Stroudsburg Open and then took down Nahomi Marmolejo of Adrian by fall at the Adrian Invite.
