Biography
2023-2024 (Senior)
Portillo wrestled in 24 matches for Alvernia during his senior campaign and recorded a 14-10 overall record. Portillo recorded seven wins by decision, five by technical fall and two by major decision. Portillo recorded a fifth place finish at the 2024 MAC Championships with a 20-8 major decision in the fifth place match and also recorded a fourth place finish at Messiah’s Petrofes Invitational. Portillo was also a member of a team that recorded a 19-5 team dual record, the team title at the Virginia Duals and also a second place finish at the MAC Championships.

Portillo wrestled in 35 matches for the Golden Wolves during his junior campaign and posted a 22-13 record. Portillo earned third team All-MAC honors with a third place finish in the 133 pound bracket and finished fourth at the NCAA Southeast Regional. Portillo tallied 12 wins by decision, four pins, two major decisions and two technical falls and was one of 12 Alvernia Wrestlers that posted a 20+ win season in 2022-2023. Portillo helped lead the Golden Wolves to a 17-6 record in dual meets, two invite victories and second place finishes at the MAC Championships and the NCAA Southeast Regional.
2021-2022 (Sophomore)
Portillo competed in 12 matches during his sophomore campaign and posted a 6-6 record. Portillo tallied two pins, one technical fall, one decision and one sudden victory. Portillo was a member of a team that finished third at the MAC Championships and second at the NCAA Southeast Regional.
2020-2021 (First Year)
Portillo competed in only two matches for the Golden Wolves during his COVID-19 shortened first year season.
