Alvernia University Director of Athletics Bill Stiles named Amanda Bezner the Head Women's Soccer Coach in March of 2023.
Bezner previously served as the assistant coach for Alvernia's Women's Soccer program for the prior two seasons.
Under the assistance of Bezner, Alvernia accrued seven wins and five ties through the 2021-22 season. The Golden Wolves also had an All-MAC Commonwealth honoree in Haley Dougherty in 2022 under Bezner's assistance.
Bezner played collegiately for a season at Wilkes University before transferring to Alvernia for the 2007 season. During the 2008 season with Alvernia, Bezner played in 14 games, making 13 starts, and had an assist on the year to help lead Alvernia to a 6-9-3 overall record. Bezner was also a four-year started for Wilson High School and was a member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development team.
In addition to serving as an assistant coach for Alvernia, Bezner has also coached for the FC Revolution Fury club team for the last five seasons and has been the assistant coach of the WPSL Reading United. She also was the assistant coach for the Wyomissing Area High School Girls varsity team for eight seasons. The Spartans were three-time District 3A champions and state semi-finalists in 2022.
