Cindy Calixto

Calixto joined the Alvernia staff in June of 2022 after two years as the graduate assistant coach for Division II East Stroudsburg University.

Calixto competed at Emmanuel College and Springfield Technical Community College. She was a five-time All-American. At Springfield Technical, Calixto was the 2015 NCWA National Runner-Up. At Emmanuel, Calixto was the 2016 WCWA National Fourth-Place finisher. She was also the 2016 U23 fifth place finisher and received Emmanuel’s Female Performer of the Year award. Calixto was the All-American for the Lions.

The ESU Warriors started Womens’ Wrestling during the 2019-20 season, and competed in their first full season following the COVID-19 pandemic during the 2021-22 season. 

During the 2021-22 season, the Warriors went 9-2 in dual competition, including five straight wins to end the season. In tournament competition, the Warriors had two athletes earn All-American honors at the NCWWC National Championship, and the team finished 13th overall. 

Calixto received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Emmanuel College, and her Master’s in Organizational Leadership from East Stroudsburg.
