Eric joined the Crusader staff as the head track and field and cross country coach in the fall of 2013.
He comes to Alvernia from the University of Rochester, where was an assistant coach for the four years prior.
Bennett is a 2004 graduate of Elizabethtown College where he was a four-year letterman and two-year captain for the Blue Jays Track & Field program. He earned seven All-Conference awards in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), and was the 2003 Outdoor Pole Vault Champion.
Upon gradation he was invited to join the staff at Elizabethtown where he stayed for five years working with the vertical jumps, throws, hurdles, and combined events. In his five years at Etown Bennett's student-athletes achieved 10 NCAA qualifiers, five NCAA All-Americans, one NCAA National Champion, and six MAC Team Championships.
Under his watch at Rochester the Yellowjackets earned five NCAA qualifiers, two ECAC medalists, and six conference championships.
