Luke Franklin

  • Title
    Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
Luke Franklin joined the Alvernia staff as the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach in December of 2025 following three years as an assistant coach with Lebanon Valley College.

“Our search committee quickly identified Luke Franklin as the ideal candidate for our men’s lacrosse position,” said Beddick. “The program has had a lot of leadership turnover, and finding an individual with a vision and commitment to our lacrosse student-athletes was paramount.”

During his time at Lebanon Valley, the Dutchmen had two seven-win seasons and one eight-win season. Franklin coached six All-MAC Freedom Selections, one Scholar All-American, and two Academic All-MAC Selections.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to lead this program and work with these young men,” said Franklin. “I cannot wait to work with them to become not only great lacrosse players, but also great people off the field as well. It is a new era for Golden Wolves Lacrosse, and I am thrilled to be the one leading it.”

“We believe in Luke’s worth-ethic, and his ability to cultivate relationships will allow him to build upon the recent success of our men’s lacrosse program," added Beddick. “Luke’s positive energy and enthusiasm is a perfect fit for our program as our student-athletes wanted a leader invested in their sustained development on and off the field. We are confident that Luke will lead our program to sustained success for years to come.”

Prior to his time at Lebanon Valley, Franklin coached a season at his alma mater, Susquehanna University. Prior to his time at Susquehanna, Franklin spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at McDaniel College.

“I am looking forward to growing the lacrosse program within the Reading community and beyond,” added Franklin. “Alvernia does a great job giving student-athletes a chance to obtain a great education, while also helping them grow and become ready for the world. I am beyond excited to be able to showcase this and have student-athletes be drawn here for the experience.”

Franklin is a graduate of Susquehanna University and earned a degree in International Trade and Development in 2019. Franklin was a four-year letter winner for the men’s lacrosse team. He then earned his Masters in Kinesiology from McDaniel College in 2021.
