Marisa joined the Alvernia Athletics Staff full time as the Assistant Director of Sports Information in July of 2018 and was promoted to the Director of Sports Information and Operations in 2021. She oversees the publicity for Alvernia's 600+ student-athletes across 32 varsity and club sports. She manages auwolves.com and the social media channels for Alvernia Athletics.
Marisa also manages the game day operations for all home Alvernia athletic contests across six facilities. She has served as a site administrator and host SID for MAC Commonwealth playoff contests, including the Indoor Track and Field Championship and Women's Golf Championship which are hosted annually by Alvernia.
In 2023, Marisa was named to the College Sports Communicators (formally CoSIDA) 30 under 30 list. Recipients of the 30 under 30 award were nominated and voted on by their peers, and selected based upon their professional success and service to their athletic department or conference office. The 30 under 30 class is made up of sports communicators across all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA across the United States and Canada.
In 2022, Marisa was featured in the CSC Women to Watch Series. Marisa was a 2018 attendee at the NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar and was honored by CSC as a Fred Stabley Writing Contest District winner for a piece on the early days of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Marisa is a graduate of Alvernia, where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Bachelor of Arts in Communication in May of 2017. She also earned her Masters in Business Administration from Alvernia in August of 2018. While at Alvernia as an undergraduate, Marisa was a work-study captain for Athletics for four years. While pursuing her MBA, Marisa served as Alvernia's Graduate Assistant for Athletics and Wellness. Marisa is a Berks County native, and a 2013 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.
