Football Assistant Coach

Mike deMarteleire

Mike deMarteleire joined Alvernia’s football staff in 2026 as the running backs coach. Prior to joining Alvernia’s staff, deMarteleire spent the last four seasons as a high school assistant coach. 

deMarteleire most recently spent a season at Pope John Paul II High School as the varsity quarterback coach. Prior to that, he was the wide receiver coach for Reading High School in 2024, and the offensive coordinator for Norristown High School in 2022. 

After his college career at Kutztown University, deMarteleire got his start in coaching with Lansdale Catholic High School in 2003. In 2004, Lansdale Catholic won the 2A Pennsylvania State Championship.  After his time at Lansdale, deMarteleire made a stop at Cardinal O’Hara high school, where he coached two future NFL players in Tom Savage and Corey Brown.

deMarteleire played for three seasons at Kutztown University. He was the 2000 PSAC and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, and the 1998 PSAC Rookie of the Year.
