Matthew Lackman took home gold on Saturday at the 2022 MAC Championship, recording a technical fall, fall, and decision en route to his gold. In his quarterfinal bout, Lackman recorded a 20-2 technical fall over Stevens' Jack Bailey. He then advanced to the championship bout after pinning Messiah's Zach Needles in 1:26. Lackman then took first place with a 6-2 decision over #6/#9 Eric Hutchinson of York College. His first place finish helped lead Alvernia to a 3rd place overall at the 2022 Championship.
