Shawn Williams finished in a tie for second place over the weekend at the 2024 MAC Commonwealth Men’s Golf Championship and led Alvernia to a third place team finish. Williams shot a 76 on Saturday and followed that with an even par performance of 72 on Sunday to move up the leaderboard and earn Second Team All-MAC honors. Williams carded a total of six birdies throughout the weekend and 21 pars. Williams finished the tournament on a strong note with a 1-under performance on the back nine on Sunday, including birdies on both 17 and 18 to finish his round at even par.
