St. Davids, Pa. (Oct. 13, 2007) – Eastern University scored the only goal of the game in the 70th minute to sneak past Alvernia Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference men's soccer action at Eastern.

Neither team could break through in the first half and nearly 25 minutes into the second half, Eastern reserve Scott Patrick scored assisted by Lance Burris. Eastern played a pair of keepers who combined for three saves, the same total as Alvernia College junior Richard Kessler (Reading, Pa./Reading).

Eastern earned a 14-5 advantage in shots and an 11-3 lead in corners.

Alvernia will host Swarthmore College on Wednesday in a non-conference match.
