Dallas, Pa. (September 24, 2007) – Misericordia University (7-6, 4-0 PAC) defeated Alvernia College (3-10, 1-3 PAC) 3-1 Monday evening on their home court. The Crusaders started strong, taking the first game 30-27, before dropping the next three; 30-19, 30-25 and 30-27.

 

Alvernia freshman Leah Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) handed out 30 assists and junior Jenn Stigura (Barto, PA/Central Catholic) had a game-high 15 kills. Misericordia University posted 21 service aces, compared to Alvernia's six.

 

The Crusaders will look to get back on the winning track when they travel to Neumann College for a Pennsylvania Athletic conference match-up on Sept. 29th at 1:00 pm.
