Albright Takes 3-1 Win At Alvernia

Sikorski Racks Up 10 Kills For Alvernia

Reading, Pa. (Sept. 5, 2007) – Albright College scored a 30-21 win in game four to take a 3-1 win over Alvernia College Wednesday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

Albright won the first two games, 30-24 and 30-26, before Alvernia posted a 30-22 win in game three, but the host Crusaders could not complete the comeback falling to 1-4 on the your season. It was the first match of the season for Albright.

Alvernia senior Amy Sikorski (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) led the Crusaders with 10 kills on 35 swings. The team ranked up 11 kills with just two errors in the game three win and 11 more in game four, but also committed six errors in the deciding game.

Freshman Leah Crimi (Nazareth, Pa./Notre Dame) recorded 27 assists and tied for the team lead in digs with her sister Lauren Crimi (Nazareth, Pa./Notre Dame) with 16 each.

Alvernia will start the conference schedule next Monday with an evening trip to Centenary College.
