King's Earns Overtime Win

Lush Scores Again For Alvernia

Scranton, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2008) - Junior forward Adam Lush (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) scored a goal in his third straight game when he tallied in the sixth minute, but Alvernia University (7-8, 4-2) went scoreless the rest of the way and King's College (12-1-4, 2-1-3) scored the game-winner 100 minutes later in the second overtime Saturday evening in Freedom Conference men's soccer action at King's.

The Monarchs netted the game-tying goal in the 58th minute and were headed toward their fifth tie in the last six games until the scored with just over four minutes left.

Alvernia senior Richard Kessler (Reading, Pa./Reading) made four saves in net for the Crusaders.  King's held a small edge in shots (9-8) and corners (6-4).

The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Crusaders.  Alvernia will host Delaware Valley College in a conference match up on Tuesday.
