Alvernia Overcomes Notre Dame 3-1

Baltimore, Md. (Oct. 6, 2007) – After struggling in the first game, the Crusaders pieced together 3 straight solid games to defeat College of Notre Dame in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference volleyball action. The Gators won the first game 30-26, but the Crusaders stormed back, taking the next three games by 30-14, 30-18, and 30-24 scores. Senior Amy Sikorski (Topton, PA/Brandywine Heights) led the Crusaders with 28 kills on the evening. Freshman Leah Crimi (Nazareth, PA/Notre Dame) added 38 assists, 12 digs, and a team leading 5 service aces.
