BOX SCORE

Reading, Pa. (Sept. 24, 2008) - Sophomore forward Morgan Davidheiser (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) scored twice and Alvernia College (2-4-1) netted two goals in each half enroute to a 4-1 win over crosstown rival Albright College (2-5) Wednesday night in non-conference men's soccer action at Albright.

Albright finally broke through two minutes into the second half scoring on a header by Mark Yost, but Alvernia answered on a Montone goal in the 56th minute and Davidheiser tacked on a goal with just over thre minutes left in the game.

Alvernia senior Richard Kessler (Reading, Pa./Reading) needed just one first-half save to record the win.

Alvernia will open the Freedom Conference schedule with a Saturday trip to Misericordia University.
