Grantham, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2009) - No. 1 ranked Messiah College (15-0-1, 5-0) scored seven first-half goals en route to a 9-0 win over Alvernia University (3-15, 0-5) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action at Shoemaker Field.

The Falcons netted their first goal of the game in the sixth minute with five players combining for the first seven goals of the game.  Corinne Wulf and Tannia Neito scored a pair each in the first half.

Alvernia keeper Kirsten Kelley (Kirkwood, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) made eight stops for the Crusaders.

Alvernia will travel to Delaware Valley College on Wednesday for an afternoon game with the Aggies.
