Immaculata, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2009) - Immaculata University (6-14) defeated Alvernia University (0-23) 3-0 Monday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Immaculata.

The Mighty Macs earned a 25-17 win in the opening set and followed with wins of 25-21 and 25-20 to win the match.  Sophomores Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) and Diane Lightner (Gaithersburg, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) led the Crusaders with seven kills apiece.

Alvernia will complete the season Thursday at Albright.
