Reading, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2009) - Alvernia University (0-18) dropped a pair of volleyball matches at the Penn State Berks Tri-Match Saturday afternoon losing 3-0 to Cedar Crest College and to the host PSU-Berks Lions.

Sophomore Diane Lightner (Gaithersburg, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) led the Crusaders with three kills in the Cedar Crest match and sophomore Miranda Hedrick (Stowe, Pa./High Point Baptist Academy) had a team-high five in the PSU-Berks match.

Alvernia travels to Widener for a conference match on Tuesday.
