BOX SCORE

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 5, 2009) - Despite a distinct statistical advantage in the box score, Alvernia University (2-10) couldn't find the back of the net in a 1-0 loss to Penn State-Berks (6-3) Monday afternoon in a non-conference women's soccer game at Berks.

Alvernia held a 19-6 advantage in shots and had all six of the game's corner kicks, but Cassidy Dawson made 11 saves and had one save from her team to earn the shutout win.

Alvernia had eight different players register at least one shot on goal, but they couldn't find their way through.

The Crusaders return to action Friday in a Commonwealth Conference match at Lebanon Valley.
