Crusaders Drop 5-0 Decision At Leb Val

Annville, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2009) - Lebanon Valley College (6-6-2, 1-1-0) scored four first-half goals en route to a 5-0 decision over Alvernia University (2-11, 0-2) Friday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action at Lebanon Valley.

The Dutchmen tallied first in the 10th minute and added two more separated by three minutes in the 32nd and 35th minute.  The hosts scored again with less than two minutes left before the break to take a 4-0 lead at intermission.  LVC added the final goal of the game in the 77th minute.

Alvernia junior Kirsten Kelley (Kirkwood, Pa./Bishop Shannon) made 11 saves in net for the Crusaders.

Alvernia returns home for a non-conference game in less than 24 hours hosting Lancaster Bible College on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Schlager Memorial Field.
