Reading, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2009) - Keystone College (1-0) rallied from a 1-0 deficit to win three straight sets and take a 3-1 win over Alvernia University (0-1) Tuesday evening in season-opening, non-conference volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.
Alvernia took the first set getting 13 kills en route to a 25-20 decision. The pace dropped off significantly for the Crusaders for the last three matches as they failed to reach double digits in kills in any of the final three sets. Keystone took the second set 25-17, won the third 25-21, and finished the match with a 25-12 win in set four.

Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) led the way for the Crusaders with 14 kills. Freshman
Ashley Kutcher (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) finished her first collegiate match with 27 assists and both Soltis and
Gabrielle Albanesius (Philadelphia, Pa./Merion Mercy) had a team-high three service aces.
Alvernia returns to action this weekend at the Greyhound Premiere Tournament hosted by Moravian.
