Reading, Pa. (Sept. 16, 2009) - Lycoming College (2-4) stormed out of the gate with 10 straight points to start the match and cruised to 3-0 win over Alvernia University (0-9) Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

The Warriors took the first set 25-7, won 25-14 in the second set, and finished the match with a 25-11 win in the third.

Alvernia sophomore Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) had four kills and a block to lead the Crusaders.  Lycoming spread out the offense getting a team-high five kills from junior lefty Megan Schulze.

Alvernia returns to action on Friday playing former PAC rival Gwynedd-Mercy College in the Albright College Invitational.
