Reading, Pa. (Sept. 25, 2009) - DeSales University (8-6) defeated Alvernia University (0-14), 3-0 Friday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

The Bulldogs won set one by a final of 25-8 and finished the night with wins of 25-3 and 25-11.

Alvernia sophomores Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) and Miranda Hedrick (Stowe, Pa./High Point Baptist Academy) led the Crusaders with four kills apiece while Ashley Kutcher (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) handed out nine assists.

Alvernia returns to action Monday at Kutztown University.
